So this is the last proper page of chapter two. We are actually super proud right now. It turned out a little shorter than chapter one. Next week chapter three will start, it's not hard to guess what will be it's background theme :)

Uene is a good listener, it's good because her brother likes to vent through talking ;)

Finally have time for more carefull second reading :D I'm glad, because at first I perceived this scene a bit differently than the first time. Aka, the fact that this is exactly when Uene finds out Zenwu didn't keep his promise somehow slipped my mind. Somehow I was so focused on the scene with mother...I was so absorbed in thinking "omg old lady give your child a break omg come on she just returned from the battlefield omg omg and you see your child is wounded and all you do is having "this will not fit to your dress" attitude, I don't like you very much!" hahaha...

And this caused me to miss few important pieces and actually a very charming scene between siblings :O

I'm so glad the comic is worth rereading. It's such an incredible compliment.

Although the fact that you are noticing new things it both great and scary. What if you notice the mistakes... XD

When we were adding the dialogue to this page I was very worried how it will feel, especially the last panel in the context of what happens in chapter 3. I didn't want Uene to gauge the answer out of Fuzs because that would have presented a wrong dynamic between them and would make this scene creepy. I'm not sure if I'm making sense XD.
Either way I'm glad you like their interaction. It's a relief.

Haha, nah I don't think so, this comic is great! I'm rather able to piece together the subtle hints scattered here and there. My first reads are usually pretty adhd, and seconds are much calmer and focused on details, now that I know the plot.

About the scene:
I'd say it's very subtle and natural way for things to unveil. I'm glad it's not 100% straightforward (from narrative point of view, like Uene storming out of the tent after hearing Shayu's words or listening to Fuzs story).

By the way, how many markers have you used up for this comic? I mean, it's incredible how much work you put into it, but my god, those full-colored pages must have dried out so many markers!

Haha, your second readings are so much more thoughtful than mine - i usually just stare at the art once i know the plot :)
I can't give you an exact number of markers that have given their life for this project so far (i am a terrible tyrant, i don't even have a bodycount...) The ones that i run out of the most are the blues - i've used up six or seven 'cool grey 01' markers (that's the light blue in the background in the last panel here). But the bright colours used for details last for much longer (i think the pink on Uene's shirt is the same marker i bought two years ago). So, luckily, ocac is not a total ink-sucking vampire :D
